On Friday June 18, Busya Lugovier and fellow classical musicians will perform a symbolic concert in celebration of 20 years of the friendship and cross-cultural exchange between the cities of La Crosse and Dubna, Russia. Featured within the program are works by master composers including Hayden, Rachmaninoff, Bruch, Bulachoff, and Scott Joplin. Concert begins at 7:30 PM at the Pump House Regional Arts Center. The evening’s program contains a Sextet by Hayden for two French horns and a string quartet. This performance will feature Jon Cowan (French horn), Mariel Crolius (French horn), Cassandra Sundram (violin), Raphaelle Siemers (violin), Busya Lugovier (viola) and Sarah Ranscht (cello).Additionally, Chris Werner (clarinet), Beth Lachman (piano), Nancy Matchett (soprano), and Karen Hill (viola) will lend their talents, respectively, to a trio by Max Bruch, “Romance” by Rachmaninoff, and a duet for violas by Bulachoff.
Tickets are $14 for members, $17 nonmembers.
