Artspire is a community arts celebration held in the Arts District of La Crosse. Artspire combines visual, performing, and literary arts in a largely outdoor format designed to represent and engage all elements and cultures of the area.
Building on the 2020 theme “Art Gives Back,” Artspire will host a Canstruction® competition where structures are made entirely out of canned food, and at the end of the competition all food is donated to local food pantries. The competition will be held on King street, just outside the Pump House on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
We aim to illustrate how art feeds our mind, body and soul while benefiting the food pantries in the La Crosse area.
Any organization or individual is eligible to enter, including but not limited to: architects, engineers, designers,
contractors, businesses, social service organizations and clubs.
Each team must have at least one member who is an architect, engineer, designer, contractor or other design professional to be a mentor.
All structures must fit within a 10′ by 10′ by 10 space. We request that each structure be at least 4′ by 4′.
