Call to Authors and Actors
January 25, 2021
An event every day that begins at 12:00 AM, repeating until January 31, 2021
Calling All Authors and Actors
Authors are invited to submit works for the project, from which a committee will make selections and pair each story with an actor. All written works must be original stories that can be performed as a monologue.
The theme “Twenty-one” invokes a wide range of possibilities such as: stories for the new year, adulthood, changes in 21 years, cicadas (billions are expected in 2021), 21 days between vaccinations, 21 gun salute, or the numerous titles of books, songs and places that include 21. The story can be completely about ‘21’ or just refer to that number in some way in the piece.
La Crosse Storytelling Festival and the Pump House Regional Arts Center are teaming up to present a curated virtual performance of original stories on the theme “Twenty-one.” The streamed event will open March 21, 2021.
Submit your story or apply as an actor by contacting Terry Visger at firstname.lastname@example.org The submittal deadline is January 31, 2021. Individuals may apply as an author, an actor, or both.
