Carissa Brudos: Encaustic: Perspectives
July 21 @ 9:00 AM - September 11 @ 5:00 PM
The process of change in nature is a constant source of wonder and inspiration that she tries to mimic in her work. This process of change and transformation is supported by integrating many different media such as collage, encaustic (molten beeswax), drawing and fibers on various sustainable substrates.
Carissa’s work is driven by the intrinsic journey of discovering the process of encaustic in relationship to the natural world. she is intrigued by the variety of perspectives she see’s in the places she experiences. She communicates more of a memory than a representation with the use of lines, shapes, color and textures seen in the natural world.
An in-person artist reception will be held August 6th, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
